Outfit Post: Black and White Floral Dress

It's been a while since the last outfit post. and quite frankly I bet nobody reads my outfit posts because I look like a kid who just escaped from school. Must be because of my height. But here I am still doing crazy outfit posts especially if there are occasions when I could dress up.

So last night was our thanksgiving dinner with people at work, and people related to work, and people who we got to know through work. This is what I wore, a black floral dress from Adah Belle with black lace flats. I just brought a black blazer along just in case it was too cold, and of course, my grandmother's ever trusty leather bag which is so much older than me.

A closer look on the dress's print

Filigree Lace Earrings were to complement the lace design of my flats

Well it's really no secret that I am uber comfortable walking around in flats especially in a big venue like Astoria Plaza where our gathering was held. But do you make it a point to wear sexier heels even if it hurts throughout the night? I know a lot of women who have spent half of their lives walking effortlessly in heels- I am somewhere stuck in the middle of it...

Floral Wedges in the Mail!

Raisie just received floral wedges in the mail and it turned out just as expected! So here I am on a Tuesday grinning wide. I will be doing more looks with these floral prints soon. They will do well with the top I got earlier.

I got this pair at a very affordable price from Pinky Winky Shoes and Vanity on Facebook and this would do well with my floral rose top. In the meantime, I will be brainstorming for future outfit posts too.

Just sharing a photo of my floral wedges here! May you be inspired as well!

Breaking The Rules: Do You have to Match Your Bags and Shoes?

I think it was my grandmother who told me that one of the rules of dressing up is to match your bags and shoes.

What?

Match your bags and shoes.

I think she meant wearing the same color family for your bags and shoes, and this was a rule even my mom followed. So if women were also quite fashion conscious, (and have the money to do so,) a lot of matching could be done. But I guess during Lola's time, it was not a problem since the purchasing power of the peso still had its strength. And if we were given the luxury, we could be doing this:

I think my grandma would say this one is for weddings

Purple is royalty's color

Black and gold never fails

A blue satin number for a date?

Red satin for the red carpet or is it too much?

Take a pick between the black...

Or blue studded match...

Or beige will do

Care for some florals?

But what of breaking the rules?

Honestly, I can't afford to follow the rules.

But if it's breaking the rules we are talking about, let's see how Helena Bohnam Carter breaks the rules.

Mismatched shoes for a floral satin and tulle dress on a formal event

If you're an athlete, you can break the rules too as long as they are Nike

Polkas join in the rule breaking

They belong together, not quite mismatched

Even little girls are allowed to mismatch

Pastel mismatched in wedges

Primary color mismatch

Can't make up whether to go with red or blue

Mishap or intentional mismatch? Try dancing in those

Do you follow or break the rules? Let me know! =p

My Paris Dreams Shopping Experience

Paris Dreams is a mixture of florals, laces, polkas, glitters, preppy and classics. It’s one of the up and coming shops in the Multiply Marketplace.

One thing I like about this shop is its clean and navigational layout, designed by none other than Tin Roque of Posh and Pretty.

Paris Dreams has a signature selection of clothing, shoes, bags and swimwear that are carefully selected, each reflecting the dainty, classical and feminine side of a Parisian woman. If you picture yourself as a modern French lady with timeless European style that’s elegant and sophisticated, then Paris Dreams might have a little something for you. Paris Dreams can complete your craving for feminine and one-of-a-kind pieces with beautiful satchels, flats, tops and swimwear.

Shop owner Murielle Anne Ranque has picked unique apparel and offers them for sale at bargain prices. My polka floral top cost only half the regular amount in Topshop, and the material is comfortable and breezy, perfect for the summer. The Parisian lady behind the shop understands that being stylish does not have to cost a lot. And perhaps this is why I look forward to the next available collection. The availability of payment options makes it easier for the shopper to send immediate payments conveniently. Best practice: From reservation to payment, to shipping confirmation, she is with you all the way, giving timely updates through SMS, this trait I have not yet experienced with any other shop online.

Some of the tempting finds in Paris Dreams...

Paris Dreams made sure that my top was handled well, and it was wrapped with utmost care, in double transparent plastic so I could make sure I received the right one. Xend Express delivered my package on time, in fact, earlier than I had expected. I made the payment through bank deposit a day ago, and I received my top the next morning, so that makes it less than twenty four hours wait time. Paris Dreams sure knows how to give satisfactory service.

Overall, I am satisfied with my entire shopping experience with Paris Dreams. Because of the friendly shop owner and the adorable items up for sale, I will be checking out her latest collections every now and then and reward myself when I have the chance.

Visit Paris Dreams here: Paris Dreams Multiply Shop and get a taste of Paris in your closet. =)

I might be coming back for these soon... Hehehe...
