Scoop On The Goop! With Supergoop! SPF50 Daily Sunscreen

I have to confess that I’m guilty of not applying sunscreen every day. The last SPF product I was using didn’t feel right for me anymore so I chucked it out. However, I did my homework and it’s part of my green beauty advocacy this year to go green and I’m so glad that Luxola is so handy in this regard.

Packaging

The Supergoop! Everyday Suncreen’s packaging is simple, and facts about premature aging are printed on the box. The product itself comes in a tube with a flat twist cap cover and the bottle is sealed. The spout allows for controlled dispersal of the product.

Pros
  • I like that it’s opaque and fast-absorbing, no white streaks on face and neck!
  • Fragrance-free and lightweight means no artificial ingredients, everything is safe!
  • Did I mention that it's waterproof? It's water resistant for up to 80 minutes
  • It doesn’t cause me to breakout! I have oily skin and I can attest to its absorption

I honestly have no issues applying Supergoop! Sunscreen every day. I follow suit after my moisturizer.

Cons

  • The only con, however, is that it’s available exclusively online through Luxola. The shipping takes about 2-10 business days but I guess I’m lucky that this arrived on time (must be due to the shipping demands over the holidays).

Supergoop is affordable at the retail price of only about Php 700+ (got it on sale). Because it doesn’t need big amounts to be safe under the sun, I’m sure this 71ml tube is enough for the more than six months of continued, if not daily use.

It’s a highly recommended product because it’s stamped Cruelty-Free, Water-Resistant, safe for every day and it’s non-irritating.

I definitely need sunscreen and I’ve been secretly berating myself for neglecting sun protection for my skin. I have four big projects this year and more island-hopping plans for the summer as well as the rest of the year. All the more, I need sunscreen for both saltwater and chlorinated water lol, now that the pool in front of granny’s house is already well-regulated. I might add that Supergoop! Is safe even for kids as well.

Who knows, this sunscreen might make the occasional appearance in my Instagram beach-island photos. Seize the sunny day!

Speaking of, would you want to follow me on Instagram? It’s @raisiespeaks and I’ll check you out too!

Product Spotlight Sun Putty Broad Spectrum Sunscreen

If you are like me suffering from hyper-pigmentation or simply uneven skin especially in areas that are always exposed to the sun and harsh elements, then you might have already scoured stores and shops for competitive products. Luckily, Sun Putty has offered to let me try their broad spectrum in a jar and see how it fares against oily and acne-prone skin like mine.

Sun Putty Sample All The Way From NYC!

About Sun Putty

Sun Putty is not just another sunblock product like those you see out there. It feels like, yes, putty! I find that it is a clever idea too.Sun Putty helps with:

  • Broad spectrum sunblock that is made of natural ingredients with no synthetic or filler ingredients
  • Level SPF30 sunscreen
  • Blocks UVA (photoaging) and UVB (sunburning) rays of the sun
  • Skin nurturing properties
  • Hydrating and anti-aging, anti-inflammatory and anti-acne properties
  • Helps with anti-microbial and wound healing effects on the skin
What's In The Box? Sun Putty 1/4 oz sample, Sun Putty Pen, Notepad, List of Ingredients, Thank You Note, Business Card and Sticker

About The Company

Sun Putty is produced by Universal Platinum, Inc. which was formed in 2007. Among their products are a natural body care line that have contributed to reducing environmental waste, decreasing energy costs and packaging wastes. By using natural and non-synthetic ingredients, the environment and wildlife is preserved, as well as aiming to reduce harmful impacts as opposed to the effects of chemical products.

Price

¼ oz. sample (one week supply*): $8.00
1 oz. jar (one month supply*) : $28.00
4 oz. jar (4 month supply*): $78.00

Now that you see the prices, let's get something clear. We have had the long-time perception that expensive products must be good, and cheaper products are just so-so. This is not the case with Sun Putty. It is cheaper per ounce and it does not contain any filler products. This is where true value comes into the picture,Sun Putty is not just sunscreen. It can help nourish the skin in many ways and the effects can be seen over time. Thus, it lives up to its true value.

Clever design on this cute travel-sized jar, perfect for the beach!
Hey it's orange scented!

Who Is It For?

“Don’t Just Protect Your Skin, Love It, With Sun Putty”.

This is Sun Putty's  message. With that said, Sun Putty is for those who are:

  • looking for natural, eco-friendly, non-toxic, gentle sunscreen and skin care products
  •  avoiding watered-down or less effective sun care products
  • known to have extra-sensitive skin
  • confirmed to have psoriaisis or eczema
I recommend Sun Putty because not only is it gentle and effective on oily skin, it can also replace several products and goes on clear on the face and even other parts of the skin. it is water resistant up to 80 minutes! This is great even for kids, and it is concentrated so just a little can go a long way. A small jar can last a week or more, depending on the frequency of use.

You can look out for other products that will soon be available such as the lip balm and a bigger jar for Sun Putty body!

Raisie Goes A Travelin'-What's A Packin'?

How do you like the new look? Can you believe that J designed this for me? He does have a girly-girl side to him after all, he knows that I like a cleaner approach, the past one was just a result of tweaking and personal effort here and there.

I will be leaving with my folks tomorrow, so I won't be doing regular updates here for a week. Right now I am packing (and still have time to post-lol). The trip consists mostly of plane ride, boat ride, road trip, visiting people and more celebrations. Hey, it's family.

So now that I am a travelin, here's what I'm a packin'...

Even if I am travelling light, these deserve a place in my bag!

I got the following from Sample Room
  • Gluta C Intense Whitening Body Lotion
  • Physiogel Cleanser
These are the ones from my July BDJ Box:
  • Beach Hut Spray Sunblock
  • Too Cool for School BB Cream Travel Size
  • Dove Damage Therapy Shampoo
  • Dove White Beauty Bar
  • Dove Whitening Original Deodorant
And my trustee Human Nature Hydrating Lipsticks in Lucky in Love and First Kiss.

Who would have thought my BDJ box would arrive at good timing? I could also test the Too Cool For School BB Cream and the Beach Hut Sunblock since there are plans of swimming and lazing around.

Could you guess where I am headed? Have a fantastic weekend, dear friends! You can still join my Firmoo giveaway here
