Unboxing and Review | Rapoo K800 Wireless Bluetooth Keyboard + What Happened to my Laptop’s Keyboard

Hey, I’m a writer, not a fighter LOL.

So when my laptop’s keyboards gave me issues, the first impulse was to have it looked at by technicians. I brought my unit to a local repair shop. Then Carl was able to pick it up after three days. The diagnosis was that the flex cable had to be replaced and the keys had to be cleaned. They even gave me a week’s warranty.

But, alas, the same problem occurred and we even shelled out money for it. However, I have deadlines and assignments. I opted to try another option, and that is to have a Bluetooth keyboard on hand.

This Rapoo K800 Wireless USB Keyboard is my third unit after Carl bought me the Rapoo E1050, and the Manhattan KW1 Ultra Slim Wireless USB Keyboard after that. I loooove the Rapoo keyboard. It’s smooth, effortless, and lightweight. I absolutely have no complaints. But it also meant added baggage to my gear every day. I lug around my 14-inch laptop, mouse, notebooks, and my personals in a bag, plus my new wireless keyboard.

I thought that I need another one for the office so that I could leave the first one at home. I opt to do some productive stuff at home, such as freelance writing, obligations for school, and vlogging.

Well, I tried to extend my patience with the Manhattan Slim chiclet keyboard but to no avail.

I saw in a video that I need to press more keys to make sure all of them work and have a smooth response, so that’s what I did for a period. But it hurt my fingers in the long run. And I know that I deserve something smooth and portable.

I didn’t realize how important the keyboard is until after I became frustrated with it.

And I do miss writing on the laptop’s keyboards.

I told myself that once I am able to save up for a new laptop, I might be able to move to the iOS ecosystem if the budget permits. Perhaps that transition can grow old with me and I can do good with vlogging and my freelance writing gigs on the side. I need efficient gear in order to be productive so I can focus on writing more.

Review:

I love that it is lightweight and quite portable. I can pick it up with one hand. It can fit in my backpack. When I’m done, I can keep it in my drawer.

It also looks good on my desk when it’s set up.

I think it is going to be handy especially if I decide to bring it along during travels.

The Shapewear You Need for Your Holiday Parties

Now that you think about it, shapewear is a secret that you might want to consider investing in. You never know when shapewear will come in handy when you snap those holiday photos. In the age of social media, you will want to put your best season photos forward. Here are some shapewear and outfit choices from Waistdear.com for the types of events you may have during the holidays.

Wholesale Zebra Print High Waist Yoga Leggings

1. Class Reunion

The Christmas season is usually the same time that class reunions also take place. It’s because it’s the time of year when people come to visit their hometown. During class reunions, it’s the time to revisit old, beloved places and reminisce those memories made with friends. You will want to choose a body shaper wholesale that is both soft and convenient. You will want a comfortable piece that you can wear from day until night. Who knows what else the itinerary holds apart from dancing? It’s best to be ready with the kind of shapewear that you have to be down with just about anything.

A quick word about your body shaper though. You will need to choose one that’s just the right fit. Therefore, take the correct measurements and allow a good allowance. Avoid getting ones that are too tight. If you are uncomfortable, it will show-and might ruin your day. You should also be able to look natural with an improved posture, and not look quite stiff. The right fit makes or breaks your body. Be kind to yourself.

2. Days Out with the Family

The Christmas season can be busy with chores that you do with the rest of the family. Depending on what you have lined up, you will want the type of discounted sportswear that can keep up with your holiday activities. You can choose the right one that can withstand your activities in the cold, such as picking out a Christmas tree, shopping for gifts, even baking Christmas treats with kids.

What’s Christmas without sharing blessings with those in need? If you are doing a little bit of volunteer work, you will need breathable and comfortable fabric while you go about town, dedicating your time and effort.

Of course, after eating delicious holiday meals, you will want to get some exercise. Performance sportswear can be your trusted companion during workouts. Whether it’s intense or a recovery workout, wearing the right outfit can definitely boost your motivation.

3. Christmas Banquet

It’s time for pigging out! But of course, a Christmas feast is enough reason to. It can serve as a reminder of the coming of one person whom Christmas has been named after. The Christmas feast also serves as a means of gratitude for many people, for the blessings received throughout the year.

Is it possible to still maintain that figure after a full-spread banquet? If you look out for the waist trainer black Friday sale, the answer is yes. It’s possible to enjoy a good meal and still look like you’re fit and ready to take on any action afterward. With a good selection of waist trainers, you will be able to look your best, no effort required.

Here’s to having fun during the holidays no matter who you are spending it with! Cheers!

Before I Retire for the Night

Before I retire for the night, let me just say that today is a holiday and I took the time to work on parts of my project paper for graduate school.

I realize that I have procrastinated long enough, and that I should be tackling things one at a time.

To be honest, one of the reasons why it took me so long was because I was too idealistic to have a complete set of respondents. When in reality, I had to accept the fact that the time has long passed, and that I must make do with what I have.

And so, the earlier I accept that, the better.

If I want to graduate next year, I have to put in the work and prepare myself for the next round of defense.

So far, I am happy with what I have worked with. And I'm proud to say that I did it all on my own. It won't be long, and I will be finalizing my paper, improving it and sorting out the details.

I can't wait to celebrate this milestone with C and my family.

I just really need to close this chapter of my life instead of wondering about the what ifs.

That's just something for me to dream while I get my rest tonight. Tomorrow is another day.

Note: The seaport image is about my research on seaport cities. I thought that will serve as a fair enough warning LOL.

In Love With My New Bluetooth Keyboard and Thinking of Scandi Home Office Setup

I'm just letting it all out here, that I am simply grateful and enjoying my new Bluetooth keyboard bought by C.

A little background story, my Lenovo Ideapad Slim 3 of two years was showing issues with the keyboard. I was irritated for days, even a couple of weeks. Then a colleague from work suggested to drop it off a local computer repair shop-and I did on the weekend. The diagnosis and repair took two days.

C picked it up after having paid the fee of Php 600. The technicians said that all they did was clean the keyboard and replace the flex cable. It has a warranty of seven days.

I was happy until I tried it out again. The same problems occurred.

Rapoo E1050 Bluetooth Keyboard

C decided to buy me a Bluetooth keyboard, and I love it! For only Php 735, it has the following features:

1. Up to 12 months battery life
2. Media control
3. Reliable 2.4 GHz wireless connection
4. Spill-resistant design
5. Laser carved keycap

It comes with a free AA battery, Bluetooth adaptor, and a printed manual.

I love the size, it's compact without feeling too small, and it's lightweight making it quite portable. In the event that I will decide to have a home office setup in the future, this smooth keyboard has a sure spot on my desk.

In our discussion, C offered a desktop to acquire for our home. It can double as a home office setup for us. Now that the topic has spilled onto a home office, I thought of what design and elements should go into it.

It has to be minimalist, since we live in a tiny home and our space is limited. A quick search led me to these:

A home office definitely needs a desk. This solid pine desk has a nice, natural wood finish. Two drawers allow for storage and decluttering of desk accessories and even wireless hardware such as a mouse and keyboard. It's just the right size for our space.

Lazy Chair Backrest with Stool

Every desk needs a comfortable chair to go with it. I've been seeing this chair on social media and thought, if I were working from home, this is quite a good addition.

It is referred to as a lazy chair. I've seen videos of it! It is ergonomic, the back can be adjusted, it comes with a foot stool in matching color and has a side pocket for gadgets and small books. It has a full chair cushion with pillow backrest. I've seen one in Shopee, and at only Phpo 1,599 this one is a definite steal for me.

There are other colors such as blue and pink. I am a pink lover myself, but if two of us were to share a home office, I think gray is the right choice and to match our gray loveseat as well.

Pilea Sharing Plant

Greenery is a must for a home office. Every now and then, staring at something green helps to relieve the eyes. This adorable plant in a ceramic pot adds just the right touch of greenery on a desk. Mounted in a plant stand, it's perfect for any Scandi-inspired space.

Petite Beacon LED Desk Lamp

I have a reading lamp of my own, but this one is too cute not to mention. It's sleek and minimalist, which goes well with most Scandi design. This will pair nicely on a desk and still leave enough space for our laptops and other writing paraphernalia.

Conclusion

I don't need much for a home office. In fact, the basics are enough to keep me busy and productive. I already have my keyboard, and I'm good to go. With the modern strategies being adopted by companies all over the globe, and the trends of productive, nomadic lifestyles, working from home is not far from reality. Thus, a home office setup just might make sense for me soon.
