Bomb Scare for Today's Entry | 6.14.2023
I was already on my desk writing a memo for the update on an ordinance when we heard the news of a prank caller regarding a bomb threat.
And so, that's the highlight of the week. A bomb threat.
Although seeing our photos plastered all over social media was embarrassing and shocking, that's that.
I was surprised to see that I now have 96 subs in my YouTube channel. I'm close to a hundred subs.
YouTube recently announced that they are lowering the requirements for more channels to be monetized. If I were able to upload one video every week and promote it, and just continue to stick to a schedule, then I would be able to get monetized in due time.
Affiliate Marketing
For the first time in years, I understood how affiliate marketing works. Now more than ever, brands are paying for promotions and it's possible to earn commissions with the many platforms around today.
I have 133 followers on Pinterest lol so I have to learn how to increase my following there.
I've listed the tasks that I need to do over the weekend. That, and I have to continue writing and looking for gigs to do during the weekend.
New Desk Mat
And one more thing that made this week's highlight is the desk mat that I got from Miniso. It feels so different and I was able to retire the Jerry mousepad that I've been bringing around all over the place. I think I can reserve it for travel and other occasions or just leave it at home.
I was thinking of ordering another one from Shopee for the house for when I work and write at home. It just feels so different.
Feeling Motivated
Could it be the new laptop? All of a sudden, I feel inspired and motivated to do so many things and my productivity has shot up.
It could be the laptop then lol.

Perfect 35th Birthday
This weekend is something special.
On Saturday, I planned out my birthday to be a no-writing day. As early as Friday Night, C took me to KCC to have dinner and to treat me to a hair spa in David’s Salon. I got an iced coffee to help wake me up from the afternoon slump after office hours.
On Saturday morning, I got up and made myself a glass of
coffee. I got ready to go to church, bringing along last year’s candles with me.
They’re a bit discolored but still are able to produce a light and a sorry box of
matches.
I thought a mass was in order in the church. But all was
quiet and the priest was arranging for everything indoors. I eventually found a
spot to light candles in the garden. Here’s where C asked the person tending to
the garden if there was any lechon for the village’s fiesta.
After my annual birthday ritual, we headed to KCC for breakfast. Between KFC and Dennis Coffee Garden, we opted for the latter for some well-loved satti. C purchased a pack of traditional cookies.
I took up his offer of a manicure and pedicure in Sir J’s Salon. We then took the car to the side of the mall and bought a small can of salted caramel cheesecake. This, in my opinion, is the perfect way to spend my birthday. It’s “buy your own cheesecake day because the family baker is on travel” mode.
Throughout the day, there were many greetings pouring in from
social media. It became too tiring to reply to all of them one by one. But I’m
quite content to be able to have Japanese food for lunch. Thank you Hanazono!
You know that you’re ageing when your birthday itinerary
includes a siesta. All in all, my heart is full. I’m grateful to have spent it
with my close people. Here’s to more adventures in the years to come.
