Mini Shopee Haul + El Nido Waterfalls in West Coast Zamboanga City

We have gone on another hike! Still in the West Coast, we found a waterfall with the DENR Team called El Nido because of the birds that nest under it. Here’s a mini Shopee Haul of the stuff we brought to our hike, the river we crossed, plus footage of the hanging bridge.

Note: do not attempt to visit without proper guidance. We had a lot of help from our guides who knew the river system. Total hike took 4 hours.

Credits to Lee Hyun Jin (Ian Angeles) for sharing footage of the hike and waterfalls. Until the next hike!

Unboxing New Merrell Shoes Wildwood in Noir + Bravada in Sage

I had to replace my footwear after that mishap on the way back from the waterfalls. This weekend, I finally got to shopping for new shoes for this purpose.

I got not one, but two pairs of shoes this time for the appropriate trail. I hope these shoes are able to survive roughing it!

My New Merrell Footwear:

·       Wildwood in Noir – outdoor shoes, breathable mesh lining and synthetic heel counter for additional support, M select grip, vegan-friendly materials using no animal-based components.

·       Bravada in Sage- women hiking shoes, mesh upper traditional lace closure, kinetic fit base removable contoured insole for flexible support, Merrell Air Cushion in the heel absorbs shock and adds stability, Merrell mountain-grade Quantum Grip rubber outsole, vegan-friendly. Merrell Women's Bravada Shoes are ground-up women's specific hikers that fits like a sneaker and hug the ankle without stiffness or pinch points. And, with their stickiest outsole, it provides confidence on all types of terrain.

Hiking to Undisturbed Waterfalls (Mululibun Falls, Masalag): The Hike + ...

Our team had to go on a hike to check out the waterfalls in the west coast of Zamboanga City. Meet our trustworthy team, join us in the hike and the descent to this raging, untouched waterfalls. The aftermath: destroyed footwear and phone was in intensive care unit for 9 days. In other words, this is my occupational hazard.
Note: do not attempt to visit without proper guidance. We had a lot of help from the locals who accompanied us in this hike. It took 1.5 hours to reach the site.
Credits to Lee Hyun Jin (Ian Angeles) and Nalla Mejia (Allan Tutanes) for sharing some footage of the hike and waterfalls respectively. Until next hike!

Arbor Day 2021 in the ZAMBOECOZONE Highlands

Where else to celebrate Arbor Day but in the ZAMBOECOZONE Highlands? I'm all about preserving the environment. Insert a quick vegetable haul on the side. (It's also the place to buy fresh produce). We ended the activity with a side trip to Peakview Cafe, also in the ZAMBOECOZONE area in Sta. Rita.

Credits to CDD for the drone shot of the Highlands, thank you!
